Exactly the same here. One day last week i thought 'oh man they must've beamed an update in that worked!' then a day later i was like 'nope, same ol ****'.
Really think Ford should institute a rule where they have to actually drive their design before producing it for the public. Clearly this wasn't done with this 10spd.
Ford should have either left the heavy duty 6speed or at least give a option for people to chose between them. There must be a reason they use the 6speed in the 650 and 750 and not the 10speed
i know this mite be crazy but I’m really thinking about trying to get in touch with someone in engineering and seeing if I could swap out the ten speed , sell it and put a 6r140 in my 2022

My 10speed obviously has some trash in it blocking some orifices but with that said it still is a better performer than my 19 6 speed. Leaps and bounds better.
It just has an odd vibration that feels to be hydraulic and sometimes delays going into D or R. More worried about it taking a **** on me and costing me several thousand a year or 2 down the road.
Those heavy work truck models run the 6 speed so they can use up existing parts inventory and supply contracts and to not change things up for fleet buyers who are accustomed to that transmission model.
Other than the first year release in 2010/2011,
the 6r140 has been VERY reliable.
It seems like you can count on FMC to beta test their new components on the brave buyers
of the early models.
We finally got our recall notice for our 2020 workhorse and the dealer has 37 trucks ahead of us. Telling us 3-6 weeks for the repair with truck down. That's ridiculous, especially considering this has been going on for years. So we decided to do a comprehensive doc about the entire issue and how to deal with it if things don't go your way. Hope it helps some folks who are as frustrated as we are. https://hillbillyautosupply.com/2020...ow-what-to-do/
