I’m doing a motor swap on an 06 F250 I found with a bad motor. When we dropped the good motor/transmission in, we didn’t notice the front trans filter housing was jammed up and it snapped the two trans lines. I have a complete setup from the bad motor that I can swap but my question is, can I get those lines out and back in without raising the motor back up?
It will be tight but I think it can be done. Take your time and be sure to
cap or tape the ends so that crap does not get into the lines.
Yeah I got the broken ones out tonight. I tried to feed the good ones back thru between the cross member and the oil pan but I couldn’t do it by myself. I need somebody to stand in front of the truck and feed the lines in while I’m under it working then thru. My buddy will be helping me tomorrow evening. That’s the last thing I need to button up before I lower the cab back down.
