Hey guys 1st post I've ever done so sorry lol. I own an 88 idi and recently purchased my first obs powerstroke. It's a 97 f350 singlecab 4x4 with 334k. It had blowby when i bought it but not terribly so. Everything was fine with her until it got cold and she was having trouble starting. So I replaced the drivers side glowplugs and the harness/gasket just to start. When I attempted to start her up to double check everything it refused to start no smoke no start. I found the fuel bowl empty and filled it up but I had no fuel pressure plus I had a leak prior. So I changed the fuel pump and tried again. After a week I finally got her running again but at higher rpm she had a rattle I thought was injector noise. So I went to the highway and as soon as I got up to 70 to try and run out whatever was wrong there was a loud bang and alot of smoke the truck died. I checked for leaks got her to start with alot of mechanical noise from the hood and limped her home i found 2 bent rods in #4 cylinder and replaced them but now I have #2 and #4 cylinders failing the contribution test when I can manage to get her started. What did I do???? What's my next step I'm sorry but I don't know if I should just pulled the drivers head apart and redo gaskets or if it's a whole engine rebuild I'm needing I'm alittle over my head. thanks in advance

 

Recheck your wiring on the connectors. You probably have a wire switched on cylinder 4 and 2.
