Howdy. While waiting for my F250 to be built/delivered, I had plenty of time to surf accessories and I had a continuing concern on how to access that really high truck bed. That problem disappeared when I installed the Bed Rug liner! My 72 year old body can just hike itself up onto the tailgate and I just roll onto the bed, easy-peasy! Very slick indeed!

That tailgate step sure is a nice feature, if you got it. I assume you didn't.

No I did not. I was seriously looking at an Ames rear step but decided to hold off. As noted, the Bed Rug allows me to get into the truck bed with no more effort than a toddler navigating the living room. Sweet!
The tailgate step with the full BedRug liner is a perfect combo! I’ll admit if I just need something real quick I’ll just hop in, but if I will be getting in and out I’ll pop the step out and use it.
I used too laugh at the tail gate steps. Not any more! Even at 6'2", these struck are all so high, its hard too access anything in the bed. The tail gate step is a necessity and the bed step on the corner is really handy. I ordered that by accident, but really like it. I'm also a big fan of Bed Rug now.

I used to laugh at those too, that was until age and abuse of my knees from sports caught up with me. I went with the deezee rubber mat which allows me to crawl around with the added plus of cargo doesn't slide around.
This mat comes in different size sheets. Easy to cut to fit around wheel wells or a hitch. Water passes through and mat stays on the raised bed ridges for easy wash out.
All funny about the TGS, until your knees tell you otherwise! LOL Once I have one, would not want to be without one! Same goes for the BedRug. When you have a topper it is even better, can use it to go overnight camping.

Has anyone had any issues with the tail gate not working properly with a BedRug?
I had one put in today and the tailgate shuts hard and does not open easily, you have to push on it to get it to open.
I think the BedRug is falling down into the seam and making it stick.

Love the TGS. My 7 and 10 year old use it get stuff out of the bed. Sometimes I think I work them too hard since their friends are inside playing video games, then I remember it’s good for them. They load and unload, hay and feed for their horses.

Yeah, if the flap gets folded down between the truck bed and the tailgate it makes closing it hard. I just made sure the flap goes up and it’s no problem, and after a while it just does it on its own.

That and also check that the latches arent catching the rug. the clearance is so tight that it if it off just a little bit one or the other latch grabs it when closing making it difficult to open, as well as folding down instead of up at the seam.
