Does the pump in the front tank turn on when selected? It is the fuel pressure from the selected tank that causes the DFR to change position. If the pump does energize then it could still be that the reservoir is stuck drawing fuel from the rear tank. That was my experience when I bought my truck that had been sitting for almost a decade. Even though the pump was running it could not move the stuck valve. I replaced the DFR with a junkyard part.
How can I tell if the pump is goin and I don't know if yer near by where I am but if ya know of any selector valves I'm havn quit a trouble findn one by the way thank ya for helpn me out
I did what ya said and the guage is completely all the way at the end of the full mark I was gonna siphon it out to see if the guage went down but havnt gotten to it yet but I couldn't here the pump go but it seems like it didn't even try to switch
I went and did what ya said and i couldn't hear nuthn so I switched it to rear and listened and i could hear it pumpn back there, but I couldn't hear nuthn from the front so im guessn that means the pumps bad, I've checked the connection for the electrical it looks fine the electrician jelly is prty old but that shouldn't cause it, should I check the electrical lines from the pump to the truck?
