Fuel Transfer
My 97 F350 Dually is equipped with both factory fuel tanks and the switch on the dash to switch from one to the other. We only use the truck to pull a 13,000lb 5th wheel camper about 3 or 4 times a year. The rest of the time the truck is parked in the barn. The truck just turned 100,000 miles. I was wondering what I would do if we were on the road and needed to switch tanks and the switch would not work or for some reason I couldn't switch from the empty tank to the full one. Is there a way to switch them manually if needed?

Don't let either tank get below 1/4. When the tank you're running gets below 1/4, switch tanks. If the tank doesn't switch, you have time to refuel. If the engine starts to stall when you switch tanks, switch back.
And of course, test the selector before the trip.
