front brake noise
Help, after replacing the front rotors and pads on 95 explorer eb 4wd I still hear a grinding noise when i apply the brakes. The haynes book says a rattle clip is needed but when i removed the old pads none was found. the vehicle stops fine and when i compressed the pistons to install the pads they went in fine too.
the noise sounds like pads rubbing on a rusty rotor but i have new rotors. It also made the same noise when i tried to change the pads by itself. can the rattle clips make a difference?

turns out it was the rear brakes making the noise. new pads and rotors and all set....also watch out for parking brake which is shoes on the inside of the rotor hub... they crumbled off.
