The power seat on the drivers side will not go back or foward
It is stuck all the way foward. there is electrical power to the motors but it will not move, just clicks and attempt to move. If you look underneath the seat as you operate the seat switch the rod coming out of the motor slightly turns. but then stops. I can't figure it out unless by taking the seat out altogether and checking it out. anybody else have this problem?
well, I took the seat out today and found out that the corkscrew on the one side was jammed tight. to relieve the jam I disconnected the two corkscrew rods by removing the torx bolts and turning them by hand on each side and also counting the same number of turns on each side. Then I slid the tracks back to line up with the corksrew holder and reinstalled the torx bolts. Reinstalled the seat and everything works like it is supposed to. Maybe this can help someone in the future if it happens to them.
