brake conversion on 79 ford

hey guys, how hard would it be to convert 79 1/2 ton brakes, front and rear, to 3/4 ton brakes, is this expensive, how hard, will it work, i ask because my brakes need some serious work anyway and would like to have heavy duty brakes for my big tires, could you please list all the parts i would need to replace, or are there conversion kits for what i want, any help would be appreciated

Check out this tech article about brake upgrade It's written for a Bronco, but works great on a F150 also. Several have done it, search through past posts for their opinions...

I did it and think that the hardest part about the (front) conversion is plumbing the F350 master cylinder (hinting down correct fittings and flaring the tubing) and finding the correct brackets to bolt the booster to the firewall (junkyard).
