Truck is finally here
First Ford I've ever owned. XLT 7.3, 3.55 Locking, Fog Lights, Heavy Service Front Suspension, Upfitters, Remote Start.
Picked it up yesterday at Chapman Ford. Ordered on 12/13. Got a rental, drove 10hr on Monday, spent the night, picked it up on Tue morning, drove 10hr back home.
Coming from GM (IFS) trucks, it is a different ride. Rides good, but different front end feel, but I knew it would be going in, and own older GM SFA trucks, so no big deal.
Dropped all 4 tires to 65PSI not far from the dealer to improve the ride.
Really liking the truck so far. I took a 4 page checklist with me of things to inspect / check on it and did that before signing the papers. The doors aren't aligned very well so will have to get a local dealer to correct that. The trans shifts fine and smooth so far, doesn't lunge or search for gears. Ran all the way home in Normal driving mode as I wanted to see what MPG the truck was capable of without using ECO just yet. Coming thru PA, MD consisted of some pretty long 4% and 5% grade pulls, lots of construction and traffic to deal with, getting in the throttle to pass, few stints at 85mph, etc which isn't kind to MPG.
I plan on leaving Trip 1 as a lifetime MPG monitor.
I did reset Trip 2 somewhere in WV (313mi from home) when I stopped to fill up with gas. Set cruise at 70mph for the final leg home (about 1,700rpm).
It was on 16.0 for a long time, but dropped a point. REALLY pleased with the MPG, and the decision to go with 3.55

Pick up checklist
long thread on Tremor Forum (post #91 has a good list)

I took the files and made my own, tailored to my truck and what I thought I'd check in the order of walking up to the truck (ex. not start it and check radio, then turn it off and check oil)

From the time you ordered to the build date and VIN assigned, how long was it?
I ordered a F 250 Lariat on 2/22/2022. Options are, Lariat Ultimate Package, 6.7 Powerstroke, 4x4, 3.73 Electronic Locking Axle, Black Appearance, Upfitter switches, and Cab Lights. Dealer said to look for delivery around 6/1/2022. I received the order confirmation from Ford on 2/25/2022. Haven’t heard anything since.
