Does anyone else keep logs of MPG and service? Just curious to see some other peoples data. Here is mine in spreadsheet form. Every fill up and service since I bought the truck:
It says you do 66% of driving on the freeway but average 11mpg. Is that normal?
I think it has to do with the fact they added this feature that when you fill up, you do "% city driving". I started using fuelly way before this so im guessing its basing all my fillups on only some data. I typically get 12.5-14 on the highway, but i never really do totally highway trips. When we go to our VT house (alot) its about 70 miles of highway driving where the gas gauge moves SLOW, and then its backroads all climbing with O/D off and the gas gauge moving FAST. So basically it just offsets all the highway driving i just did... Ive yet to take a long highway cruise on somewhat flat roads. Driving 3.5 hours to northern vermont didnt help either cause i was shooting upto 3000 rpm to climb some big hills there
When I first got my truck I used a Palm Pilot with AutoSlate software and logged all expensed (including fuel).
Around 80k miles the device failed and I lost my data. Luckily I had recently printed the data so I have that still. I picked up an new device (Sony Clie) and started over again. Around 260k miles the device failed again but I was making regular backups so I just exported to Excel format and just input the data manually. It has every expense I have ever incurred. I think I will write some macros so the file can let me know when scheduled maintenance is due.

I like that about the app I use on my phone. It reminds me of all maintenance and I can add items and set my own intervals.
