Head examined

Should I seek professional psychiatric help? 1977 project I somehow couldn't resist. PO claimed rebuilt 391 engine, new PTO. Cannot start yet due to frozen carb plates on newer Edelbrock 1405, broken cooling hoses, bad fuel pump, Additionally, corroded master cylinder and booster, thoroughly rusted hood and roof of cab, blown mufflers. Would like to replace distributor, hood if possible, and misc to get it reasonably presentable. 1st pic was as found. Second is after pressure cleaning and tire inflation and dragged out of hole. Am I nuts?

With the proper amount of hard work, time and money it can look like this.

Of course it would be way cheaper, easier, and faster to start with one that was 100% better.

LMAO. Jackaxe! I'll be laughing about that all day.

But you know, 30 years ago, if you found a Model T pickup in that condition, most folks would let it rot. But give it a few more years, and it's a gem!

Do like the journey and/or the destination?

People climb mounts for fun. As long as you enjoy doing it then go for it.

I personally get bored of projects when they have been done for a while and start looking for something else to consume my time and bank account.

F600 with what I believe is a Marmon-Harrington 4wd conversion. https://www.marmon-herrington.com/co...d-freightliner

It is a fellow FTE members rig and is way cool.

Chris I though that truck was a M-H conversion, good to learn that it is an in house Ford job.
