That's what l was thinking: The right person could make a career operating that crane.
And a sweet restored vintage truck to transport it would be awesome advertising.
You found a gem in the rough; a cool project that is very inspiring.
Red looks pretty nice. Do you have any ideas for painting yours? l imagine you'll need a windshield first? And a proper name...The Happy Hooker???
Really needs a new cab, but definitely a hood and windshield. Do such things exist?
Yep. Most cab parts are the same as the F100-F350. Hood and windshield are the same. Only thing is the hood has different rubber bumpers. Cab is Exactly the same Except body mounts are a tad different. Doors are exactly the same except for door handles. All rubber parts are the same. The Big 73-79 trucks actually have bumpside dashes with custom clusters.

I know, wrong year forum but had to show a neighbor's truck that gets used almost every day these days. Don't think he's making much of a living by helping his neighbors, but he sure is popular!
Sorry i didn't think to take a pic of it last week when it was parked between those two houses with the crane fully extended to temporarily hold a tree up that had fallen on the fence during a wind storm we had recently. Lifted it, held it up while some other, more permanent support measures were attained.
Fun just walking by it every day to check out the little details.
