Champion Radiators

Still trying to decide on radiator. Was looking at Champion #CC433 with 3 core and the Champion EC433 with 2 core. When researching some say the 2 core will cool just as good or even better than the 3 core. What would be the advantage of one over the other if there is one. They both will fit my truck. There is only about $40.00 difference between the 2 on E-Bay. Also is it better to to order a electric fan with it at the same time ? My trucks engine is a 351M with 4 BBL carb. no A/C, Eddelbrock Performer 400 intake. Advice and experiences are appreciated, thank's Ron

I am using a 3 row with my 302 EFI. Have only run it for approx 600 miles, but seems to do the job. Would have preferred a Copper core but 3 times the price.

I am replying only to follow along as I too need to order a radiator soon, and have been looking at the Champions. My '52 had very nice Champion radiator in it, but I sold it along with the flathead to replace it with a rad for my 302 with the integrated trans oil cooler. No idea what I need...2 or 3 core. I will be running AC...not right away, but eventually.

radiator

Use Champion or Radiators 4 less with 302 and 351 W engines-- 3-core with their shroud and electric fan -- have AC never NO problems

I am using a Champion 2 row radiator for my 1998 302 with a stock fan-clutch. I did need to add a shroud to direct the air through the radiator for better cooling when I added the A/C.
Since it is freaking hot here in SW Florida in the summer months, for good measure I added two small pusher electric fans to the forward side of the radiator. So far, the A/C
now operates within pressure specs.
