First post hope this is the proper place to ask this question. I need to have a new radiator in my truck old one plugged and had a cracked side tank.
When I went to order a new rad. they asked if I had a 1" wide core or a 2" core. Mine only has a 1" core but will a 2" work? I pull a car trailer from time to time.
I have a 1994 F-150
4.9
5 speed
3:55 rear
Thanks ahead of time for your in put
Yes, the thicker core has more tubes to transfer more heat, but it'll never hurt to have more than you need. Most 4.9s got the 3-core radiator, but the manuals without A/C usually got the 2-core. They should be able to match your original by the numbers stamped into the top of the core.
