Excursion Defrost for Heated Mirrors

I have installed the turn signal/heated mirrors in my 2001 F250 and have wired up the lights with no issues. I have let the heated mirror wires go unattended for a while but am ready to hook them up (just in time for summer lol). I would like to have the mirror work off of a switch as opposed to being on all the time as they would be from the factory. I noticed there is a 4x4 switch that includes the rear defroster for the Excursion and thought it would allow me to keep a factory look/feel and use the rear defroster portion to turn on and off the mirrors. I have the factory diagram for the Excursion switch shows it runs through the GEM which I am sure is not supported by my F250. Can anyone send me a wiring diagram of how to wire this up to bypass then GEM and still have it work as an on/off switch, I'm not overly worried about it automatically turning off by a timer. Thanks.
