overdrive light

my overdrive is flashing on my 1994 7.3 idi turbo not sure whats wrong or how to fix any helps great

buy an OBD reader to access the trouble code it's trying to tell you,

also, if you do a search on here it gives detailed instructions how to hook up and read the codes,

i didn't think that it was possible to scan the idi sense they are mechanical not electrical

It is not possible to scan the IDI engine because it is mechanical, not electronic. You need to scan the electronic transmission attached to that engine. Here is how to do it without buying a scan tool: www.troublecodes.net/ford
