Overdrive not working

Uhm..

My overdrive switch is not working, what could be some problems that I could remedy?

The light doesnt turn on...

Your problem could be something as simple as a burned out indicator light. It should only light when your out of overdrive. The switch to lock out the overdrive could be faulty also.
We need to know exactly what you are wanting to do.....and what year truck it's on.

I want to make sure my overdrive is working, either it's on overdrive or its off overdrive.

I'd start with the light bulb then. It may be out.

I have the same problem on my 01' PSD, I've read the problem could be cut wires from the steering wheel column, adjustment.

Maybe check the fuse first? Some guys here know which one; I don't. Should be able to get that from the owners manual, though.
