I just bought a plaque . I removed all the clips and made an exact cardboard template . then I taped it in place, cut out the alignment tabs and then drilled the clip holes. there are 2 studs at the top that take nuts under the removable cover. I'm not going to lie it was a tedious process and I didn't enjoy drilling 1000 holes in a new tailgate. but it all worked out fine I'd do it again I like it much better this way. .
You need to heat up the factory KR emblem on the lower left and remove it too or it looks dumb.
I wanted the tailgate plaque, and I didn't want the chrome package on my '22 KR so I added one.
I ordered the tuffskin stone grey inlay kit for it as well but it's not here yet.
That looks a lot better for sure! Worth noting that the Ford emblem on the chrome package tailgate is moved to the bottom right corner, I might even like this look better. Would love to see a pic when you get that inlay kit installed.
