Figured I would go ahead and start the chat for April. What's everybody been up to? As for me, I sold both my diesel so I'm down to just the Excursion, the wife's Honda Pilot, and my Jeep Liberty (my daily driver). The wife and I have gotten back into buying abandoned storage units as a hobby. I know I'm crazy but what the heck. We find some good stuff from time to time.

 

Well I'm still trying to clear out some space in my shop to get started on the wife's 51 F1 truck. Hopefully I'll get started on it this month. 🙏 I've got a 91 ranger her dad gave us to either get it running or get it out of the shop. Just a beater farm truck I was gonna use to haul firewood & junk around the property. I had to repair the wiring harness because Mr. Squirrel thought it would make good bedding material. Got that done but spins over & won't start. Gonna check Spark & fuel next.

 

I have not used my Excursion at all this month, only a little last month for that matter. Diesel was too $#@& expensive but there is hope on the horizon. My wife still has to use it on Fridays because she has a full load of children and stuff on board. I saw a puff of white smoke the other day when she cranked up. Any good diesel mechanics in Jasper area?

 

There use to be a good one on here that lived up in Blueridge, Ga. Have not seen him in a while and I can't remember his name, sorry. I've never really got into diesel repair. I was mainly automotive gas stuff. I know there is a good shop down in Brunswick Ga. called Eastside. They do alot of Fords. Wish I could be of more help.

 

Well durn. I am new to Jasper but I had hoped that one might be near here or Ellijay. I am new to diesel, usually messed with two wheeled stuff more than any type of trucks.

Hey everyone. I just moved my family here to SW Georgia from Oregon last July. We have three boys to raise and Oregon isn't the place it was when I grew up there. I'm a Marine Corps veteran and have loved Fords all my life. I've owned a 87 F150, 75 F150, 81 Bronco, 95 T-bird, 95 F350, 06 F150, 05 F250, and currently a 2012 F150 Ecoboost Supercrew and my wife has a 2013 Exoloder.

Welcome to the chapter Brown Falcon. I've always been a Ford fan myself. Used to catch a lot of slack from all my friends as they drove GM models. Did a lot of mudding and hill climbing in the early 90's. Used to take the top off that 82 Bronco and cruise, jacked up sporting 36x14.5 swampers. I built four 351 W for I finally got the power I was looking for. That thing would stand up like Big Foot and ride a wheelie. None of my friend's trucks could do it. Miss owning that old truck. Wouldn't run on today's gas.

 

How's everybody doing? I've been busy cleaning up around the house and helping the wife with her storage unit business. Spent today working on the Eep Liberty. Replaced the water pump, valvecover gaskets, and still need to figure out a electrical problem with the A/C. Hope everyone has a good Easter.

 

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. We had a good visit with out of state family and great food before the torrential downpour and thunder storms that evening.

I tried to get a turkey Saturday, but no luck. I'm still trying to find more places to hunt here.
