Talking May open chat thread

Hey everyone,
95-Dually had a great idea to start a monthly chat thread. This is an area to just talk, BS, and have fun. We know all the posting rules of FTE, so stay inside them and have fun.

You may want to post a separate thread if you need specific help, information, or to announce an event.

So, anybody have summer vacation plans??? I don't get to take any until October.

I'll be heading to OR July 1st. The annual Timber Carnival in Albany is gonna be happening at the time.
Other than that, it's just work, and helping people hop up diesel trucks.

Sounds better than what I have planned. I really like Oregon.

I grew up there, and all of my family still lives there. I'm one good job away from moving back. There isn't much up there.....jobwise.

Just got back from a week in Death Valley with my Land Rover club...what a great place! I love it there. Lived in Kali all my life and never went till last year...a lot different then I imagined it. And still so much more to see and do. I could do two or three trips a year. (Except for the fuel costs!)

Hey Dan, Death Valley and Joshua Tree are amazing. I would go down there in a heartbeat.

Amazing places for sure. I think you could spend a lifetime of vacations in Death Valley trying to see everything it has to offer.

Hey...any of you guys thought about going to the diesel drags/sled pull up in Redding on the 14th? Among the many competitors will be FTE's duckfan (Peter), Stewart_H (Stewart), weekendwarrior32fs (Nick) and myself, all racing in the e.t. bracket class.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-may-14th.html

The NHRDA really puts on a good show, and being that the event is in the Springtime rather than mid/late Summer spectating should be a lot more enjoyable than in the past few years. If you like racing and you're looking for something to do next Saturday, you could do a whole lot worse than this

Unfortunately, I will be out of the area. I'll actually be going through Redding on Friday heading for Medford, my band is performing at a Renaissance festival up there.

Dan is banging around with an impact wrench under my truck right now. It usually is Dan's fault (really old chapter joke), but he really knows his way with a wrench.

That's what I love about an impact wrench...you can break stuff so much easier and faster!

Sorry 'bout that Karl...it can be fixed...

Dan didn't do too much damage

The truck is running better after a tune up, and quieter after replacing header gaskets. Next up will be new pinion seal, shocks, and suspension stuff. Fun.
