I'll check out your link. Your truck looks perfect. I was thinking I was going to have to buy a new driveshaft, new control arms, on and on. I appreciate you responding to my thread.
Thank You ... Wife sure likes it since ... but she struggled with it some before lowering. We were younger then too. I worried about the plastic grab handle someday letting go and causing her a fall. I did OK, but I had a steering wheel and I am taller. That 2 inches or so means I just open the door and sit in it now. She almost does too but she still puts a jump in he step and uses the grab handle as a steady, not a pull like she did then. My left leg and foot have issues since shingles I developed while in for a stem cell transplant a few years ago, I sure was glad I had lowered it before then. Good luck.
I think you could just swap to 2x4 front struts and rear shocks, ditch the rear blocks, use 2x4 rear U-bolts, and go to a stock size tire ... depending on what else was done under the front. I modified my struts based on 2x4 strut dimensions. I forget exactly who's truck this was, but it caught my eye and got me to do mine. I drew the faint yellow line as a guide or goal in my looking at lowering mine then, I think he maybe used 2x4 stuff, but not sure. His truck used same 275/55R20 tires as mine.
