Vacuum line help please
I purchased a 1974 F100 with a 360, auto ,a/c, P/s, P/b,2wd. The truck appears to be mostly original. I am trying to figure out the vacuum hoses. The truck currently has no pcv system I am trying to put it back on. It had chrome valve covers on it with breathers. I reinstalled the oem covers and now trying to reinstall the pcv system. The engine has the vacuum tree in the rear of the intake. The power brakes, transmission and a/c are plugged in there. I have searched here for hours and cant seem to find any information about the vacuum source for the pcv system for this year. The spacer plate is still under the carb with the egr valve, unhooked. The spacer plate has no port for pcv valve. There is no smog pump, no valve tree on thermostat housing. The carb I believe to be a 2100, no port for pcv. Could I just drill/ tap the oem spacer plate to plug it in?

If you don't need the EGR I'd toss it and put an insulator spacer in it's place with the vacuum port for the PCV in it. they're a common part at any parts house or at least used to be.
But you're right you can use any vacuum source so it's just a matter of wherever you want to take it from.
