Vacuum and vent lines are the bane of my existence. Hence, this truck & I aren't friends right now. I'm trying to close the crankcase to avoid debris & crap getting in, & I need some help.
I'm thinking a hose connects the PCV on the passenger valve cover to the vacuum connector tree at the back of the manifold (see picture with 2 lovely plugged hoses), but I've seen a few threads suggesting it connects to the vacuum ports at the back of the carb.
I don't have a direction with the breather on the driver valve cover. Some places have said to a port on the bottom of the air cleaner, some have said to another vacuum port on the back of the carb.
Attached are pictures of what I'm working with. Any help is appreciated.
On my 351M the driver side PCV valve connects to the back of the carb and the passenger side to the air cleaner housing. Not sure about an FE engine. Hope that bumping this back to the top will get you a solid answer.
Any manifold vacuum source will work for the PCV but the base of the carb is best. your pcv valve is in the correct place and your breather hooks to the air cleaner.
I would replace all you vacuum lines they look pretty toasted.
