This. I want to run AMSOIL and probably would if it were in my favorite parts store, but I change it every 5k anyway. …and before y’all flame me, I have a very short commute, lots of kid errands to run, and only get the engine really hot a couple times a month.

The biggest selling point to me for Amsoil is it shows up at my door and don't have to go find it somewhere lol

Big plus for me as well not living in town. Another big one to is it doesn’t burn off I never have to add oil period between oil changes on anything I run it in. Worth every penny to me.

you may be surprised in price comparison. Also it only takes 1 day to ship to me. I think 2 days is pretty common though.
if you have more than 1 vehicle or a few pieces of OPE, signing up for preferred member takes the sting out of the price.
I'm not a dealer or have any interest in amsoil besides being a customer so I'm not trying to sell it, just passing along my experience.

I am fairly new to the truck world, so I have some questions. 1. What are OCIs? 2. What is a signature truck vs. Heavy Duty?

Oil Change Interval
Check Amsoil for the explanation. They have signature series and Heavy Duty

I run Amsoil in my 17 Accord, using my OLI, I get about 11k miles before needing to change, I also use it in my Dodge diesel and change that oil every 10k miles, in my F150 I use Mobil 1 and change that every 5k miles which is about once a year. Also use it in my boat and motorycles. I live a few miles from a distribution center so it's easy to get.

Hookers have been able to be sent to a house for eons already. We can do better than Frozen steaks, can't we? We can have live lobster from Amazon. Take your frozen steaks and we can get a Surf and Turf going. Buy a grill and some potatoes and mushrooms and onions. Maybe chase it with a little wine?

Amsoil

Have used Amsoil in my last 3 trucks all with keeping them to around 150000. Use the heavy duty oil and the 25000 mile filter. Never any problems. Started using it in my current 6.7 at around 17000 miles which is when I bought it.

Its definitely good stuff. I notice absolutely no burn off between oil changes and in regular gas engines oil is cleaner looking than brands on shelves atleast thats my opinion anyway. I use it in literally everything I own that uses oil.

According to Leardriver it seems like Amsoil comes in 2nd to Mobile and that was with testing not an eyeball. Makes me wonder if it is worth the money.

I test my oil as well every other oil change samples get sent in. You can tell by looking at it if heat is getting to it that is if you know what your looking at. You probably don’t change your oil either like most don’t. I do in everything I own and have for 25 years. Use it if you want don’t if you don’t but don’t criticize what I say when I wasn’t talking to you anyways.

Maybe you can but I don't trust a subjective feel and prefer to test it as opposed to training myself to go by feel.

Probably been changing oil in my cars for 30 plus years but again, don't want to test it, feel the sample and learn how the result feels when I can test it and be done.

I was merely questioning why pay a premium price for a product that tested at 2nd place.

Was I incorrect in assuming that to quote someone you don't have to agree with them and/or you can question anything said? If so, let me know and accept my apologies. Now I AM speaking to you.
