I don't post that many videos on FTE anymore. And, the engine build thing is not my thing. Plus, the engine sequence is screwed up because my one MAC got wonky, and I'm having issues getting photos, images, and iMovies going back to the beginning of November. I've got 1 TB of Powerstroke images and videos, which goes down to .6 TB once it starts fixing itself. So I lose mostly the recent stuff. Things on my other MAC, I can get.
I've found a way to get them. I can do a restore, but before opening photos or iMovie, I have to go in and manually move them out of the base directory into a remote hard drive. It takes a while.
I'm glad you got it running Jack. It's been a long time coming so.... CONGRATS!
Thanks for posting those pics, but I was thinking you should start a new thread about it. And maybe discuss the mods you did, like all that going on in front of the oil cooler.
I've watched the new episodes TMT. Hell of a job man.
My truck has a rough country 4 inch lift kit installed by the previous owner. Cheapest lift they have. I bought the truck at the end of 2017 I believe. I'm going to install an adjustable track bar and get that rough country track bar bracket out of there. If the steering doesn't improve I'll install the drop arm.
Hopefully I won't have to mess with it.

You don’t need a drop pitman arm for 4”. I’m nearly 5” and have the stock pitman and a chromoly adjustable track bar...the Excursion handles like a 9800 pound sports car.

That's a good thing to hear SmackDaddy. I was wondering about that and have heard it before.
I have some bump steer going on and noticed the truck dog legging several years ago. Hopefully this will take care of those issues. The bump steer is what lead me to think the pitman needed to be dropped.

Yes it will, I had to pull my front axle over a little over an inch with the adjustable track bar after swapping to lift leaf springs. Measure from the frame to the outside line of the tire on each side until you get it as close to centered as you want. This will get your drag link and track bar just about parallel where it should be. I think anything over a 4 1/2” lift over stock (front axle) would call for a dropped pitman arm to offset the lift.
Got the track bar on. Steering wheel is off by a little more than 45*. Just dropped it off at the shop for a alignment, rotate and balance the tires. I'll have to get out on the country roads to tell if there's any change. Couple of miles down the road at 35 mph ain't going to do it.
Any time I hit a certain dip in the road the truck would pull to one side. Really down want to pull the pitman
Centering the steering wheel is a driveway and two tool job. If you are all over the road like that you probably have a compound issue. Any inside tire wear? Could be ball joints.
After I put the adjustable track bar on the steering wheel was off. Just got my truck back.
Ball joints are all good. Put Spicers on last year. Frame and front axle was off about an inch or 2. That's the reason I wanted the track bar. When I hit a dip in the road the compression of the axles to the frame would pull the steering in one direction for a sec. On the bounce back the wheel would be straight again. I'm horrible at explaining myself.
