I have 33s (285/75/16) on stock rims on my truck right now, but they rub on the radius arms with the wheel cranked (close to full lock). I put on a Skyjacker 4" and want to jump to 35s sooner or later.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but stock wheels are 16x7 with 6mm offset, so about 4.25" backspacing. I'd like to move to a 16x8 wheel to fit 315/75/16 tire. Would somewhere in the area of 3.75" backspacing be enough to prevent/minimize rubbing on the radius arms?
Those running 35s (or larger) what wheel diameters, offsets, and backspacing do you have?
Stock 7" wheels have 3.5" backspacing or zero offset. I can't remember what the offset was on the aftermarket 8" wheels I had(could have been 3.25") but all the extra width was to the outside so they had a really deep dish. I think you will need something like this to clear 35's.
