Ford has mentioned height changes to the 2020 SDs. More so affecting the SRWs. The Ford Body Builder publication contains pretty accurate details (as it should). Based on comparing the specs between the 2019 and 2020 CCSB 4x4 (maybe the most popular model) F250/F350s using CH (overall height) and LH (tailgate height) looks like they lower both the F250 and F350 by ~1" (overall height (CH) more so when loaded). These two guides appear to be comparing apples to apples. Same tires, springs, etc.
Good info as always. If you should see it for the tremor please add. I’m hoping they’ve introduced new height springs with the same range of spring rates... but that’s probably wishful thinking.
Its interesting how it being over 1" lower at the open tailgate only equals roughly 5/16" lower at the cab. (F250)
In the previous generation (11-16) I disliked the stance of the F250's because of that level, low stance compared to the F350. I wonder how this will affect the "look".
Thanks for throwing the two charts together. So it appears the front end stays the same height, lowered the back end by about 1 1/2 inches which is why the back of the cab is only .3 inches lower.
Something doesn't jive here. Mike Pruitt is on record in January saying the only ride height changes are to the 250's (lowered)...Tremor not withstanding.
[QUOTE=h20camper;18881963]Good point. I hadn't highlighted 'F' and 'R'. Like the Ford engineer had mentioned. ~1/2" in front and ~1 1/2" in rear.
Good catch. I looked at it real fast and didn't consider "F" and "R". Yup, the engineer discrepancy is settled. Little disappointed they lowered it but this is first world problems I guess.
