I just came from a F-250 Tremor to a F-150 Crew, 6.5 with the FX4. Having owned nothing but 3/4 and 1 ton trucks for the last 20 years, the ride in the F-150 is substantially better (obviously because it is a half ton) and it is a pleasure to drive. Having driven both the 4X4 and FX4 equipped trucks before purchasing, the ride is all damn near the same. I opted for the FX4 when I ordered for the cheap skids and e-locker as I use my truck a lot in the fall and winter for hunting and I tend to get into some sketch places. With the E-Locker and decent tires, I have never had an issue getting out.

By the way, if you are wanting a softer ride, the last thing in the world you want are 20in wheels.
