2 ohm or 4 ohm subs?

2 ohm or 4 ohm subs?
Hey im gonna get some subs but i dont know if i should Get 2 ohm or 4 ohm. whats the difference? I am either gonna go with kicker l7s or 12w3s. i think ill get a 1200.1 jbl amp too

get 4 ohm subs. When you wire them together, you get more resistance, i.e. lower ohm... if you go lower than 1 ohm, your amp may not be able to handle it. i've seen the JBL 1200.1 before and heard it, it would probably hold up

Since the JBL does full power at 1 or 2 ohms, dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm will work. Give the amp a break, though, and let it run a little cooler/easier. I'd go for a pair of dual 2's and present the amp with a final 2 ohm load. BTW, this is if you go with the L7's, which can take the power. If you go with a pair of W3's, go for JBL's 600.1.
