Apparently 4 wheel abs on a dually is a almost a unicorn
There is a writeup from the diesel shop in regards to removing a sensor like yours with heat from a torch and a slide hammer with a J hook
No reference as to where to get another ring
Thank you Manicmechanic007, I did read somewhere that they only manufactured 250,000 of them but that still seems like a lot to me. I'm in Maryland and it probably won't pass an inspection with the ABS light on so I see a few inspection extensions in my future but I'm confident I will track one down sooner or later.
Were you ever able to locate ABS rings? Thank you so much!
QUOTE=bheimbuch;20355223]I removed the 2 front tires and wheel hub assemblies and discovered that the prior owner or their mechanic did a JB Weld job on one of the ABS rings, this is probably why the ABS light is coming on. I'm having no luck on finding the ABS ring or the entire hub/rotor assembly (with the ring already installed). Can anyone point me in the right direction? Damaged ABS ring[/QUOTE]
I was able to find a hub with the ABS ring still on it, I found it on a junkyard app. I used dry ice on the hub and the old ring tapped off that hub without a struggle. I have not installed the ABS ring on my E350 yet, it passed inspection because ABS was not an inspection fail criteria, I don't use the rig in the snow, but I will eventually install it. I'm going to install it using dry ice again, or at least try.
