Engine swap. Intake runner valve delete/bypass?
Everything went as expected with the parts swap. But I missed one thing that I don't see on the newer engine. Or it is in a different place and I missed it during assembly, but I don't think so. Anyway I have a extra connector.
The old engine had a intake runner valve ( f75e-9l490-db) the new model doesn't appear to have one.
Anyone run into this problem? Will it set the CEL? Can it be deleted with a tune? Can I trick it (dummy load)?
Appreciate your words of wisdom
I ohm'd out the valve and it was about 160ohms so I took two 330 1W resistors in parallel and plugged them in to the connector. Taped it up and wrapped in friction tape then tucked it under the alternator so you couldn't see it
No codes and passed smog like a champ
