Considering the Icon Compression wheels....anyone running these?
Opinions?
They are -19mm offset...wondering how far they will stick out compared to the OEM 20" wheels??
Very limited choices out there with a 4000lb load capacity.
Oh..and while I have you....what can I expect to sell my brand new stock 20" (limited) take off wheels and tires for? $1500 maybe?
2.48 inches more then original rims. I think original is +44
i have +20 (20x9) with 37x12.5x20 and the tires stick out around one inch from fender. Not bad but will throw mud on side of truck

I had wheels that stuck out 1+” from the genera on my old truck. Now I have completely stock wheels and tires.
the old truck with negative offset wheels also was driven at times with and without pocket fender flares that stuck out an additional 1.5” from the fenders. Hate to break it to you they didn’t do much either. The truck still got filthy in rain/snow/mud/etc.
honestly when I see people say this I laugh because there wasn’t a real noticeable difference between the two. Both trucks got just as dirty down the side and neither one received any more or less significant surface damage down the side of the truck when it was all said and done.
to the OP I say don’t let misguided info sway your decision. If you want -19 it’s not going to hurt anything. And if it makes you feel reassured you could also run a little PPF in strategic places to help protect the surfaces. Wouldn’t cost much if you did a few of the smaller high impact areas.

I just wash it more often . I changed rims just to go to 37 . Still have original rims with 35 on them . Just looks better with 37
Do not see any damage to body after one year . No fender flares . Don't like the look . I do use mud flaps in front in winter

I don’t like flares either. I had them on for a period of time due to bad advice telling me my truck would be destroyed the first time I drove it down even just a dirt road. Ended up taking them off because I couldn’t stand the look.
drove the truck about 60k miles (about 40k negative offset wheels and about 10k with flares) and when it was traded in the truck sides were in great shape.
also noticed the truck had no noticeable difference in how dirty the sides got whether the flares were on or not.
mud flaps offer more protection due to how low they hang etc but flares did nothing in my case.
That is a +20 . No rubbing anywhere but only 12.5 wide tires . Front leveled to fit 37
my plan is to stay stock on suspension, and go with the Nitto Terra Grappler in a 295/65/20.
These tires have a 4080 lb capacity.
I'm going to look for a wheel with 0-20mm + offset I think. THANKS for the help!
The guy following you driving his pride and joy won't appreciate the stones your tires throw up if they stick out past the fender. I think it's a total douche-bag move on they're part.

That doesn’t make sense. My truck has stock wheels and tires and if they’ve picked up any small rocks or stones they’ll be flying just as much. In case you haven’t seen a super duty they sit relatively high and will happily eject objects from the tire treads. Unless you’re trying to imply that only object from the very outer tire tread row are capable of this……
now you might have a point regarding -76 offset wheels and a 2” spacer on top of that where literally the whole tire is outside of the body (yes there are people who think that looks good). But -19 wheels or whatever won’t be obliterating someone else’s pride and joy anymore than a stock truck. I think that tire tread pattern is actually more of the culprit. For instance my nitto ridge grapplers slug a lot more **** up off of them than my currently stock Michelins. But that’s because of the larger lugs that we’re capable of lodging a much bigger stone in between them. Then when you get to highway speed it might decide to eject.

So you believe that rocks are only thrown from the portion of a tire that protrudes outside the fenders? I'm not sure how old you are, but how have you never seen a rock get flung forward from a tire and then bounce up on the highway?
