Thank god I bought that 70 for the cab swap, this one is shot. Look at the welded on rad supports~!! Farmer job! And the hood hinge’s look like they were coming off in the wind next! Good news , the motor is a 390 with good compression 110 to 125 spread, so no rebuild required yet. Cab off next then box and sand blast the frame. Then tear into the 1970 to start swapping. 70 and the 68
I had to have a friend graph a cab top onto my truck because it was an original CA truck, and they rust from the top down from the ocean salt in the air. I don't see what is wrong with your cab.
It was bad from the bottom up. Have a peek, to buy all the steel and have it fab’ d in was more that a good cab. The front inner and outer fenders were toast too. Moving the 68 grill to the 1970 cab and clip. All chrome Trim, instrument cluster, and adding power brakes too. Should be a fun cruiser after it is done. The roof is in great shape!
