Well I finally got start on the tear down of my 54 F100. New Chassis is ordered and due to be delivered by Mid May so I want to be ready to start the rebuild. Last weekend I built my Cab Dolly with the help of several of the members, especially Waygonner! Thanks to all of you guys and your ideas and instructions, my dolly came out Great and is very stable. I am attaching pictures of the truck as it sits now! Just getting started, removed the hood first. Hood off Front clip removed Front clip gone. Cab mounted on Dolly with windshield and rear windows removed Floors are not horrible but going to replace them because of needing to replace the cab mounts in front and the tri-angle supports and the passenger side door hinge pocket needs to be replaced. Original Heater!
Nick, Congrats on the new chassis! What company did you go with?
Also, since you still have your front clip assembled are you able to help me out a bit? I must’ve gotten a little excited to start my build years ago and didn’t take enough pictures,,,,
1.) I believe I have, according to LMC, the #4 brackets. It would be nice to see exactly where those go.
2.) Is the #7 bracket the ones welded to the firewall? If so, I salvaged the originals as well.
3.) is the #8 bracket necessary?

I'm not Nick, but I can answer your questions.
1) #4 is the front fender brace. It goes between the bottom of the front fender, just forward of the wheel opening, and a specific bolt holding the splash pan to the wind deflector.
2) #7 is welded to the fire wall. The fender liner bolts to this.
3) #8 is welded to the inside of the frond cab corner/cowl. It is to reinforce the sheet metal so the fender bolts don't pull through. It's location in the picture you referenced is somewhat deceiving.
I am going with Roadster Shop for my new chassis. Looks like you got the answers to the rest of your questions but let me know if I can do anything else to help you.
I am ready to remove the windows from my doors and need some help! What is the process to get the glass out? Do I need to remove the felts first?
No. The anti rattle felts can stay in. You need a shop manual. Lower window, and it should come out . The rollers should pop out or the pegs should pull out of the rollers.
