I got some ground chicken. It's like ground beef, but cheaper. Random size pieces, dipped in flour, and fried. Homemade Chicken McNuggets. I added some orange slices, a little sauce, and coriander. Homemade Orange Chicken. Better than Panda Express.
It's Ground Hog's Day for me. I'm in a time loop. I looked at my broken clippers again today. Plugged it in. Turned it on. Opened the case. The model from 1974 is no longer in production. What amazed me was that the internals are completely intact, and perfect. All of the electronics. The shunt, switch, electromagnetic coil motor - all of which is better quality than what they use in the current models. The only units which they sell with similar quality, is the commercial line for professionals. The homeowner line found at places like Target & Walmart are not made the same.
I'm still emotionally wrestling with $50 worth of parts, or just buying brand new junk for $10. It's like spending $40,000 to restore an old car, versus buying a new car for $20,000.
And as I search, my set of hair clippers is not entirely obsolete. They are still sold in South Africa, as a "Made In USA" import. I need to call my cousin in South Africa, and have him send them to me.

Pull the dome light assembly. Most of the time, they slide right out with a trim piece removal tool. While you're at it, replace the light bulb with an LED. Tap into the wires there. It's clean. Nobody will know. The splice will be concealed once you pop the dome light back in place. The LED will not draw enough wattage to blow a fuse.
With any luck, someone here might have a copy of the factory service manual with the wiring diagram. Or, you might have to buy one. The alternative is to try to find something like a Haynes Manual. A 2022 model Haynes Manual may not be available yet.
My truck is an '07. The wiring color may be different on your 2022. You could remove the dash trim panels, find your wiring harness, and use a test lamp - although I don't recommend it. You could be there for hours, trying to test each wire, and still not find the right wire.
