Just pulled the radiator out of my truck (the '94). I'm going to see if the radiator shop over on Alondra will replace the cracked tank. I don't know if they do that sort of thing with plastic radiators.
i was just looking for something to say other then Hi...i have never heard of a plastic radiator getting new tanks....because even if they COULD do it they would need the parts and they might not be avalible. get your self some JB weld and fix it that way.....
I went the epoxy route already. Cleaned it up, scuffed it with some 60grit paper and it didn't work. It is splitting along the "parting plane" or "mold line".
The tank is attached to the core by tabs, so removing it shouldn't be a problem. Getting the part, as you said, might be a different story.
I guess I'll find out here in a few minutes.

I had to replace one in my '88, same kind of radiator. I don't remember if they wouldn't replace the caps, or if I just chose not to do so. What I remember is that I got a direct replacement with brass tubes and caps, and it cooled better than the aluminum one ever did. Same number of rows, just more efficient.

$125 to replace the cracked tank.
$175 for a brand new gay-ron-teed radiator.

The 'Hands Free Cell Phone Law' took effect today. I'm sure this will help LA drivers to be far more safe and considerate on the road.
Of course, with a hands free device you can talk on the cell and reload at the same time. Multi-tasking at it's finest!
Yea, it's just as well. Cell phone, Starbucks cup, and trying to reload was obviously a safety issue. Throw in applying makeup for the ladies and it just becomes too much. I would have preferred they got rid of the high cap magazine ban. Fewer reloads mean safer highways.
