Auto High Idle

‘22 F350 6.7L

We’ve had the discussion of the trucks automatic high idling when it’s cold or perhaps even warm outside. There’s no real rhyme or reason when it will do it but my question is, is there a FLASH the dealer can do to make the system high idle every time it’s cold (as it should cause these things take a while to warmup).
I understand the engine oil has to be over a certain degree and things but my Truck has done it in 20° weather after regular idling for 5 mins but then it’s 25° and won’t ever start high idling. Just want this thing to warmup quicker in freezing temps without having to deal with the “high-idle switch add-on” Thanks in advance

There are a bunch of threads on it, they tend to go into the weeds. For a first timer doing this took me about an hour to do. These are the two most concise videos I used as a guide.

I installed the high idle mod and use it regularly, but the only thing I don't like is remote starting the truck in the morning with high idle enabled. I haven't tried it yet, but my guess is it would idle up immediately to 1200 rpm and I'd rather let the truck get fluids moving for 30 - 60 seconds first. I might test it later after running some errands so the truck is already warmed up.

I’m just trying to get the truck to automatically do what it’s capable of doing and what it does sporadically on it’s on.
you shouldn’t need to worry about wiring one in when the truck is capable of doing it automatically.

Anyone else with knowledge of a flash or something to have the dealer do? I’ve read some trucks will auto high idle in cold temps after a certain flash.

I have not read of any flash the dealer can do that will ocomplish what you are wanting. They have done PCM flashes for emissions purposes that have caused high idle after several minutes idling. That is something your truck may already do. The SEIC is the only way that I am aware of to do what you want the truck to do.
