Some dealers “pausing” accepting SD orders?

What dealership? Find any good deals here? Wife wants me to abandon my current order and go for an 450 now because "we might as well have what I (she) wants if we are waiting". Pretty much all I've seen is MSRP although I think some have gotten a good deal from Gresham Ford.

Thats actually the dealership I ordered from. I'll end up under MSRP (not quite suer how much), but they're honoring X-plan for me, which I couldn't find in Colorado where I live. They were really transparent. said they get 1-2 SDs delivered per week, and I have roughly 45 in front of me.
Far as I can tell they are the only ones here doing anything under msrp or even trying.

Have not heard of dealers doing that but honestly glad they are. I ordered through Chapman in November and they seem to be so buried in orders they can’t keep up or keep track of them all. Rumors that ford will be shutting down the 2022 SD order bank in the near future too but nothing solid that I’ve seen.

I have 2 trucks on order. A F-450 Platinum from Chapman at 4% below invoice and a F-350 SRW Platinum form local dealer using X-plan. Both were ordered without a deposit.

Chapman was accepting orders with no deposit and no commitment vs Granger requiring a $1000 non refundable deposit. I wonder how many Chapman customers will walk away from their orders? Perhaps Ford shut them down from taking orders. I no longer see the 3% below invoice pop up on their web site.

Saying all of that... it is crazy to think of how many Super Duties are still on order period, not just from one dealership. Considering that last year the 22 order banks opened in mid March I was somewhat expecting the 22MY orders to get stopped in the next month or 2 anyway. It will be interesting to see just how long they actually continue to build 22MY SD's.
