But I think the guy is meaning that for all those orders ahead of his that are not dealer inventory that will be declined on delivery because of multiple ordering are a huge setback for us guys only ordering one and really intending on taking delivery. And also a delay for you too!
I doubt it’s a huge set back. How many people have multiple orders they don’t intend to buy? 500, 1000 overall scheme of things thats what a Montgomery production.
You guys may have taken the comment wrong. It was more of guys ordering trucks they don’t intend to purchase just placing multiple orders with various dealers and only buying the first one to show up.
Nobody in their right mind would be upset with multiple orders when you intend to buy them all.
Either way it don’t really affect our waits.
What about those who ordered 2 or more and will not walk away but buy them. Then sell all but one shortly afterwards back to a dealer or another private owner at a profit? Isn't that what capitalism is all about?

Kinda talking in circles here. Someone orders multiple trucks and buys multiple trucks. Good for them.
Someone ordering multiple trucks and buying only 1. That’s Fords problem not mine. I don’t think my place in line changes much. Kind of a douche thing to do, but don’t concern me.
I would be willing to bet that the dealers not taking deposits are hoping that people walk away from their orders. Since Ford wasn't building the dealer orders they can then put the customer's order on the lot and sell it for MSRP or more.
What if one of those ordered but not bought trucks winds up at a dealer near you and is exactly what you wanted and ordered but never got a VIN for? Wouldn't you want to buy it and be thankful one actually got built like you wanted even if a different color? I know, I would.

I would have mixed feelings. I would be happy to find what I wanted immediately but disappointed that it would cost almost $15,000 more than I I ordered and waited.
I feel bad for people or businesses that have an immediate need for a truck today. It would cost up to 20% more than being able to wait 6-9 months.
Last week my friend had a front tire blowout on his GMC Dually and was totaled after hitting a guard rail and being struck by another truck. He NEEDS his truck to tow his horse trailer so he’s screwed. He now has to replace it at inflated prices if he can find a replacement.

I was set up to start buying replacement trucks for my business in 2020 when the new 10R140 was introduced. I decided to wait a year because first year production isnt the type of gamble I take. Long story short that was a mistake because now im two years down the road with only one new truck that I paid MSRP for and is more truck than I want option wise for business use.
I hope the two trucks I have on order come in time enough to sell the 2022 I purchased off the lot and get my money back.
Looks like if I order a 23 ill be able to sell my 22 for MSRP easily. It has everything but AS. and my MSRP is almost 3k cheaper than what people are ordering at currently.

I've heard that rumor however have seen blue window stickers available on trucks advertised at dealers showing "in route" while neither of my orders have been filled.
I have seen private party purchased get filled with essentially the same build as mine and they ordered after I did.
To heck with the hypocrites at Ford for being liars and for not fulfilling order on a first come, first serve basis.
I live in Washington and ordered my F350 from Frontier Ford in Anacortes using x-plan. They price protected my order and the process was great. Some other Ford Dealers on the West side of the Mtns are asking $10,000 to $15,000 over MSRP and getting it......
I'm in WA State too, and had same experience. Korum Ford in Puyallup (Brian Camp), X-plan, $1,000 deposit that price protected me from a $1,200 price increase in Dec., and 62 days from order to delivery. Couldn't be happier, and I'll absolutely use them next time. I read all these stories about shady dealers and realize how lucky I was...

Either the AS, spay in liner, or 5th wheel options will delay orders since they can't keep up with demand for those parts. Add two of those options and you get delayed even longer. Add all three and it could be a long wait for the stars to align and all parts being available at once. Do you have any of those on your order?

I had black appearance, but XLT, so doesn't come with spray in liner. Dealer advised against adding it since it is on delay list. I left it off and dealer had it done for $600 when truck showed up. Order was quick. Had confirmation email before I got home from ordering, Build date email 2 weeks later, build week 2 weeks after that, and delivery to dealer 62 days after I sat in office and ordered it. I did have liner sprayed in, and Katzkins installed, so that took a couple extra days after they unloaded truck, but still a really quick pocess.

My order is with Sunset Ford in Sumner. It is X-plan, no deposit and is price protected as I signed my order with the price listed. Couldn’t say more for their efforts and so far would deal with them again.
Are you trading in anything? If so did Parks give you a decent trade in offer?
I have a '15 Fusion I will either trade in or sell outright. Parks would not lock in a trade price unless I left the car with them. I didn't even ask what their price was, just said we'd discuss it when my truck shows up.
They did have a '16 Fusion in the showroom (yes, inside) it only had 44,xxx miles on it (my '15 has 83,xxx), but the were asking $21,000 for it. I'm hoping to get more than the $10,500 KBB trade in value for my car. Id be really happy with $12,000 - $13,000.
