I have read the TSB stating some 2011's and other years regarding the speakers crackling, cutting off back on .I have read threads for fixes on various boards. My conclusion based on what I have found is to replace the wire assembly jumper- 9L3Z-14631-CAA. Part number deduced with a Ford parts.com agent. I installed 4 new speakers. All seemed good until normal road driving, bumps, etc and then- the left front cut off like the good old days. If anyone replaced the wire jumper assembly and solved the problem. Please share.
This is the correct forum for your truck, but you might have better luck on the F150forum site as it is more active. https://www.f150forum.com/f38/
Sorry i cant be of more help to your actual issue, but without any knowledge, I would suspect the wiring in the door jam is failing. Have you inspected it to see if there are any split wires? Should be an easy enough fix if you are good with a solder iron.
It might be in your best interest to just avoid the OEM wiring as is and just run speaker wires to the back of the radio. I replaced all of my speakers this past weekend since the weather was nice and just have a really small 400 watt amplifier running all four and crossovers running the tweeters. It's really not complicated...it's just time consuming trying to make sure that everything goes where you want. Otherwise it was well worth the upgrade since the OEM wires are really really thin as is and have a habit of chafing and grounding out. Otherwise, that to me simply sounds like a speaker wire is grounding out somewhere and considering these trucks are now going on 8-12 years old. It's not a bad idea to consider what I suggested.
