Don't glue it. that would be a huge mistake. The Velcro, though not really velcro since thats a brand and works different, is used to make it removable in case the bed needs to be repaired, or worked on. If you glued it in, and had to remove it to work on the bed, it would be ruined getting it out.
The glue also traps moisture which WILL induce rust!!!! Whereas the velcro in essence creates a hermetically sealed from the environment contact area....no air, no moisture, no rust
I installed one with the sides and am really happy with it. I put mine on the driveway on a hot day and warmed it up first. Plan on taking your time and push the top under the bed rail with a plastic putty knife. Make sure it is centered then stand on one side not to let it move and fasten other side. install under the box brackets before sticking the Velcro tight. I purchased industrial Velcro to add additional fasteners to tail gate part. I pent over 3 hrs on mine still a little loose over wheel wells but i would add Velcro to that area if doing it again. Buy industrial Velcro and it holds as good as factory does.
Is the re-branded Ford Bed Rug the same quality as the Bed Rug brand same thing in essence? Still waiting on my truck to get delivered, so I haven't gotten anything yet but its on my list.

Yes, they are exactly the same classic carpet looking bedrug made by Bedrug with a Ford logo instead of the Bedbug logo. I’ve had both bedliners the Ford is the same as the Bedrug Classic Bedliner. This only differences are that Ford branded has a 3 yr warranty where the Bedrug branded warranty is covered be Bedrug’s Lifetime Limited warranty.
I once spilled used hot diesel oil on my Bedrug brand Bedliner that I bought from a vendor. I had to send pictures to the vendor which they sent to bedrug to approve the warranty. Once approved I ordered a new one and sent the old one back in the new box and received a refund.
I’ve had both the Ford branded and Bedrug branded bed liners and they are the same.
Last month Ford had a 20% discount on accessories but that deal is gone unfortunately.
I'm waiting for my 2022 F-450 to arrive. I’ll put one in as soon as it arrives. Which one depends on best price at the time. .

Cool! Thanks for the detailed and expert response!! What do you think of the Bed Rug's other options the IMPACT? It still has the 3/4" of foam but maybe its a harder foam?
I have the full BedRug liner and no experience with any other models but I do love the BedRug! I sometimes wonder if I would have been just as well getting just the floor liner instead of the full bed liner… but either way, the BedRug is awesome and I would do it again. Also, FWIW, I’d check around… I only paid $350 for mine at the end of 2021.
Contemplating on if I should get one for my F-450 even though it has the factory liner. My last 4 trucks had the BedRug, LOVE it! But, those 4 also had a topper, so the combination was a great matchup, cozy even as we used it as a mini camper at times. Difference is that this truck will get a Bakflip or similar and have a 5th wheel installed most of the time as well. I also get 1 ton pallets of stove pellets a couple times each winter, and even though the bedrug holds up pretty well, they do get pushed when put in the truck and could damage the bedrug.
