For those of you who don't already know, The wisconsin state senate passed the bill by a 24-8 vote allowing state citizens to carry concealed weapons. Around 3am last night the assembly voted on the bill and passed it with a 64-35 vote with a minor amendment. The bill is now headed back to the senate to be voted on with the amendment where its fully expected to be passed and sent on to Governer Doyle who is expected to veto it. Please Please Please email, call, or write your representives and the governer and let them know we want this in our state. As it stands we need two more votes in the assembly to override a governers veto. Anyone who doesn't know who to write to or where to send it, email me. I've got sample letters, addresses, and phone numbers and will get you anything you need to contact them. Lets rally our represenitives and get this through.
We have basically the same problem here in Ohio, the house has OK'ed the bill but the senate don't like it. The senate made changes and sent it back to the house, well not the house don't like it. It don't matter though, cause Gov. Taft has said he will veto it 38 or more other states have concealed carry laws and it has not turned into the old west, GIVE US OUR RIGHT TO CARRY
Only the certified 'hitmen"\mobsters can carry a 'Rod' around in da holster and not get arrested. The rest of the citizenery is not supposed to beable to fight back. Some of those northern and northeastern states have completely lost their "marbles" in my opinion. s.kuteman
I've an interesting sidelight to your problem. We have a concealed carry law here in Louisiana. Last week in downtown New Orleans a woman was getting into her car after work when a 40 year old man walked up to her and said he had a gun and wanted her car. She calmly reached in her purse, got her .38 and put two slugs into his chest. It didn't kill him but it sure stopped his car-jacking career. No charges against her, she was legally licensed for concealed carry and defending her life.

I have been on the phone a few times with my reps and once with the gov this week alone. I also have sent about 25 emails this week in support of this bill.
You all are doing good. I was too young when Oklahoma fought their battle. I was in college in missouri the last time it went to a vote and failed. I think Missouri is starting to get theirs now.
Kansas still doesn't even have it in the plans as far as I know.
