I have a passenger side vent window that has a broken top pivot hinge mount. With the 60s stuff becoming very hard to find, and the shipping of new parts out of the US very expensive at the moment, I am wondering whether anyone would know if the later years used the same pivot point?? I could rob one out of the later years and re rivet in. A tiny issue I know but theyre not available to buy seperately! And without one I cant install the window!
For little parts like that made from pot metal, I have often wondered if it would be possible to scan a good part and reproduce with a 3D printer using a high strength resin.
How much is the shipping? Do you have any salvage yards nearby? Maybe can find a vent frame that isn’t usable in whole, but could rob that little pivot.
