I'd vote to keep the Super Duty unless it's a wash on the trade-in vs the new truck or better you coming out of it with cash in your pocket. Otherwise, trading in and also paying out of pocket on top of that for 1-2 mpg better economy and less capacity doesn't make sense.

I went from a 2006 F250 6.0 thinking I wasn't going to haul big items anymore to 2016 F150 SCrew 5.5 5.0 Coyote. Absolutely loved the engine, mpg was fantastic empty. Downside was the small bed, mpg while towing and even 5k trailers moved the truck around. And next thing I know I am back hauling heavier and heavier loads, so I then went back to the Super Duty with a 6.7.

Does it suck parking downtown and the airport? Yep
Is the ride rougher day to day? Yep
Will it out pull and outperform the F150? Yep
MPG worse? Nope, equal empty and significantly better towing.

This kind of advice always helps. I have been remembering why I went into a super duty truck in the first place... I did not like the 'feel' towing my Jeep and car hauler with a 150. I did it for years, but when it came time to replace the 150, I went to a 250. I need to remind myself of this since now I barely notice the Jeep and trailer when I tow. This makes for a more enjoyable experience.
