I found that a Walker 41987 exhaust connector is a good basis for connecting your 6637 filter to your intake. You'll have to cut it down, but it is readily available, enough to do two trucks (maybe three?), and about $21 from O'Reilly and also from Amazon.
3.96" O.D., 0.080" wall thickness, 8" long, and it's really heavy duty.
I've been using a 3" ABS connector, and I am switching over to this. Fun fact, doing this will increase the cross-sectional area of the inside of my intake pipe by 53.4%!! (Someone check my math)
Most of us that are running a 6637 filter have some sort of version of this. I acquired a 4" piece of metal tube from another FTE'r when purchasing some "no longer needed" parts from them. I believe they bought it from Pep Boys parts, but I am not 100% on that.
My coupler tube like yours is between the modified OEM tube and the 6637, you can see a small section of it colored silver. The black plastic from each part covers up most of the tube.

I was going to visit the local muffler shops to beg for a scrap, but I thought that if I could attach an actual part number to something it could prove useful for others.

What is "modified" about your stock intake?
I read some threads yesterday about what function(s) the air intake temperature sensor may fulfill; I don't have a definitive answer. I am contemplating getting it off of the brake master cylinder and back into the airstream. Or maybe just tie-wrapping it to the outside screen on the filter.
And I know I have said this before, but, nice engine bay you've got there.

Absolutely and agree 100%.

I have a T4 kit and turbo with the intake tube off the turbo. I painted it satin black, so it blends in quite a bit, which is what I wanted. I modified the OEM accordion style tube to fit over the end of the T4 intake. It then goes to the 6637 filter.

Thanks for the compliment.
The IAT sensor plays a bit of a role for input data for the PCM. I have mine under the fuse block on my 2000 or similarly placed as you do. I have found this is a good representation of true IAT for the PCM to utilize.
I had a piece of muffler shop scrap that was on there when I bought it, but it was sharp and wasn’t perfectly round, so I eventually just bought the curved one from Rfif-raff. Has a nice black crinkle coat on it and deleted the restriction gauge. (I don’t need to be reminded to change my air filter)

I saw that on Amazon yesterday for the same price, and almost pulled the trigger, but got spooked by a reviewer that said it was a little weak. He was trying to shorten it, though. My main concern was that I was considering putting a hole in it for the air intake sensor. Otherwise it sounded like it would work fine if you weren't trying to modify it.
Just for reference, I could stand on the Walker pipe and not bend it, if that is important to anyone.
I put the intake sensor in the rubber intake tubing. I did not modify the Spectre tube at all and it held up without issue. The worm clamp would break before the tube would if I gronked it too hard when putting on a new filter.
The tube lasted me 10+ years with no issue and continues to live on in Sous' truck.
