Yesterday stop for fuel, Started up truck and got a P054F and CEL as per Idash.
Up until then No Problems, truck is 2021 with 4.700 miles on it. Cleared code and I'm waiting to see if it comes back, Also Ford Pass has the code but that wont clear ?
Can anybody give more insight on this ?
Found this bit of Info: Ford/ P054F
Your truck is too new to have a sludged throttle body. Does it ever act goofy when on the throttle for a possible intake throttle actuator?
Did you check your air filter?
I would hope you would not have any mechanical issue with such a new 6.7.
A vacuum leak could be a concern though.
Do you monitor fuel pressure on the iDash? I monitor my DFCM ( the primary pump on the frame rail) in mine. Yours would be from the in-tank fuel pump in the newer models.

I would drain some fuel into metal can and do a flash test.....you can google youtube on how to do the test.
also, double check any additives to make sure they do not contain alcohol or methanol.
are you running winter diesel? some winter diesel has excessive % of kerosene

I would think its winter diesel, I 'm in Upstate N.Y. I'm running Hot Shot's Anti-Gel. My Dealers service dept. does a lot of trucks and is familiar with this code he believes this will be corrected with a PCM update. going tomorrow for the update.
I cleared the code & it has not come back, all thou its hard set in PCM history.

that’s what it sounds like to me. Winter diesel and more bottled anti gel and other light additives on top of it.
me personally would only add more lube additives to winter diesel.
***UPDATE*** I had the PCM TSB Update done today, All the codes Even in Ford Pass App are gone. Now Ill drive around for a couple of drive cycles & wait to see if it's gone for good.

That's good news. Nice follow up. Some come here and don't follow up after they ask a question.
No problem, you know the way it goes with Fault codes "Gone today Back on tomorrow"
I found fuel pressure rail monitoring, but not lift pump pressure in Idash.
I would think upstate NY would have anti-gel in there fuel already. I would stop using it and see what happens. If they didnt use anti-gel it would gel in the hose on the pump. You may be over-dossing the fuel.

I run K100 which has anti-gel properties. I wouldn't run my truck without it.
