Question in regards the p1401 code

Hello every one and thanks to all of you who have help me.

I have been doing a lot of reading on the p1401 code and I'm looking into a lot of your suggestion, but in the mean time i have a question.

I'm leaving tomorrow for a 300 miles trip and back in four days with my truck, by the way it is a f150 1999 4x4 4.6l. I need to use it and then i will continue checking into the problem and try to take appart the dpfe and clean it. I know i can drive the truck but will it affect it for a long trip, total 600 to 700 miles, will it have an effect on the gas consumption.

You can use the truck without causing additional problems.
The EGR system should be inhibited and may cause some pooer fuel mileage.
1401/401 code is low flow detection.
Have a good trip.
