I suspect I have an aftermarket washer nozzle hole because of its diameter and location on the hood (far from windshield) but maybe someone has insight and it is original, or maybe it was a bizarre CB or shortwave antenna placement location?
It is:
1” diameter - 12” from the rear edge of the hood (i.e., 12 inches forward from the bottom edge of the windshield).
Whether original or not, I think it makes sense to put a washer nozzle there. Anyone have any sources for such a large diameter nozzle hole? If not, I suppose I could Instead use successively smaller washers on the underside of the hood as reducers, in order to accomodate a period correct chrome bi-directional 90 degree windshield washer spray nozzle.
That's excellent...thanks for posting Marc. The hole is in the exact location mine is, with the exact same very large (for a washer nozzle) size hole. It must have been a factory option to have a squirter. Anyone know where acquire such an original nozzle?
