We have a 2022 F250 XL be bought without cruise control. We bought steering wheel with cruise buttons. Can someone please help us with the apropriate Forscan AB values to enable cruise. maybe @ZooDad

 

Dealer installed steering wheel today and could not get cruise to enable. I have attached image below

 

Well I can now confirm I now have 100% funtional cruise control. (Something the dealer said where I bought the truck was "impossible") I installed the new steering wheel and enabled cruise in PCM, BCM & SCCM using Forscan. I did have trouble getting back into truck computer at first, but with the help of @ZooDad I was able to delete the Forscan profiles and then was able to log in and delete DTCs and now all functions as designed .... this was my experience, tinker with your truck and computer at your own risk....

I am a complete newbie with Forscan, so follow these steps at your own risk!

We bought a new 2022 F250 XL without cruise control, after some research we decided to buy a used steering wheel with the cruise buttons and try to enable cruise control on our truck.

After the steering wheel was installed I logged into the truck computer with Forscan and enabled cruise control in PCM (plain english), BCM (plain english) and used this info from forum to make changes in SCCM (as built)

once these changes were written, I tried driving the truck, but cruise control would not come on. But after driving the truck about 50 miles, I tried the cruise and it did (and still) works. Then I tried to log back into computer and could not login. After a lot of trial and error and then with the help of @ZooDad I deleted the Forscan truck profile and tried again and was successful logging in to truck. There was several PCM DTCs that I deleted, now I login to truck with no issues. I can only assume Forscan was trying to connect using the original info contained in the original profile, which apparently changed when I activated cruise control. If anyone has questions, I will try to answer...

 

Glad to hear. Will try this on my work truck later this month. Is it required to use a windows based system only.

 

hello I have a 2022 f250 XL work truck im trying to add cruise control to as well and I’ve replaced the steering wheel, buttons and everything are in place and forscan will only load a few profiles and it’s not the ones I need to enable cruise control, anything helps.

 

I am currently looking for a steering wheel with cruise control for my 2021 XL. When I get the steering wheel do you mind helping me out with the FORSCAN portion of the install?
